Createability Wisconsin strives to be a regional resource for digital media specialists, filmmakers, artists and entrepreneurs seeking to engage in meaningful careers. We provide mentorship to those interested in digital media, animation, filmmaking, art and entrepreneurs with autism or developmental and intellectual disabilities. By providing students with the skills needed to secure and maintain gainful employment in a social environment that mimic a working studio, we insure that participants are ready for work. Furthermore, socialization with other adults who have common interests is an indirect benefit or our program and resulted in the formation of many friendships.
Createability works creates sustainable and enriching careers that are individually personalized to meet individual needs. We actively seek local and regional opportunities for our clients to compete with their non-disabled peers in their community. Our role is to provide the level of training and support each individual requires to attain success within the community.
Createability works also provides career-oriented support for media artists seeking to be self-employed. Services are provided within our own professional studio workspace as well as in community settings. This may include public events, workshops, and other sales opportunities. The Supported Self Employment Program provides support in order to provide an unbroken transition from fostering creative growth to developing a small business. Some of the areas that our staff have extensive experience in include drawing, painting, digital media, photoshop, filmmaking, small business management, product development, marketing and social media.
